JR. RANCH (Restoring and Nurturing Childhood Hope) Program

 

The JR. RANCH Program was designed as an early intervention and prevention program for youth (female and male) 9 to 16 years of age. The JR. RANCH offers swimming, camping, horse back riding, fishing, archery, as well as many other esteemed building recreational activities. The program allows for young boys and girls to participate in groups building teamwork and positive peer communication skills. The program is a highly structured program focusing on discipline and personal responsibility as a method of reducing negative behavior and actions.

The School Suspension Zone(maximum stay 14 days)

One of the corner stones and pride of the JR. RANCH program is the 14 day maximum residential suspended school zone. A alternative to students staying home once suspended by the school system. Classwork and homework are delivered on a daily basis for these candidates. A fee by the parent or the school system is associated with this program.

1. Mission: The mission of the JR. RANCH Program is to show youth the consequences of their actions and behavior and give them the opportunity to make good decisions based on real information.

2. Method of Admission:

a. Referred by parent.

b. Referred by school board.

c. Referred by the Department of Juvenile Justice prior to adjudication.

d. Committed by the court.

3. Liability Release Form: A Liability Release Form is signed by the parent or guardian of a youth that has not been committed to the program by the court. The form is signed at the time the youth reports to the program.
