A.  He’s going to engage with a staff of professionals whose mission is to assist him in his transition to succeed.   
 

 

Q What if my son isn’t physically or mentally prepared for the Motivational Camp?

 
A.  Each youth will be thoroughly screened by the designated medical and mental health authorities before admission to the program.  This pre-screening process in conducted to ensure all youth admitted have medical and psychological profiles conducive to successfully completing the Academy.  
 

 

Q  Who makes the travel arrangements for attending the Motivational Camp?

 

Pick-up travel arrangements are handled through CPMJRA administration office.  

 
 

 

Q  What happens to the future of my son if he fails the program?

 

A  The future of Court Ordered Candidates who fail to successfully complete the entire program their future are determined by the committing Court.

 
 

 

Q  Where is the physical location of CPMJRA?

 

CPMJRA is physically located on St. Croix USVI

Yes, PT daily workout promotes positive health awareness and instills discipline

A Depending on the individual Court Order, otherwise a recruit/resident must first successfully complete the motivational camp phase (180 good days) and enter the transitional phase 2 before home visits are granted.

Q  What happens after my son has successfully completed the entire program?

 

A  Court Order Candidates are then referred to the commitment court.  Other youths are returned to the environment of the community, school, and family, assisted by the conditional release staff.

Q  How long is the entire motivational program?

 

A  The entire program is a minimum of 18 months.

Q  Can I commit my daughter to the FARM Program?

 

A  No.  Currently the JR RANCH Program is the only program offered to females 9-16 yrs of age.

Q  How does CPMJRA prepare my son for a professional opportunity once he have successfully completed this program?

 

A  During the conditional release phase CPMJRA offers Education, Scholarships & GED Study, Vocational training, Individual work study, Employment, Individual career counseling to qualified residents.

Q  Can my son attend religious services?

 

A  Yes, recruits/residents are encouraged to attend any of several religious services

Q  Is there any restriction on incoming or outgoing phone calls.

 

A  Recruits/Residents are encouraged to maintain family contact through written correspondents and phone calls.  Outgoing calls are permitted between the hours of 1800-2000 hrs

Q  Are there any restrictions on visitation?

 

A  Family participation in family group treatment team meetings is always encouraged.  Family group meetings are held two evening per week and begin four weeks after admission.

Q  What is the difference between the FARM and JR RANCH program?

 

FARM (forming ambitious responsible men) program is designed for adjudicated young males ages 14 thru 24 yrs old.  JR RANCH (junior restoring and nurturing childhood hope) program is an early intervention and prevention program for non adjudicated youth (male and female) ages 9 thru 16 yrs. Old.

Q  Are the boys under 24 hours supervision?

 

A  All recruits/residents during the 18 month program are under 24 hour supervision.

Q  Is any staff member going to physically assault my son?

 

A Members of CPMJRA that provide security and have direct contact with the recruits/residents are all certified.  There is a “Zero Tolerance Policy” for abuse or unnecessary uses of protective action at CPMJRA.

Q  When am I going to receive a phone call that my son have arrived at CPMJRA safely?

 

A  Upon arrival to the program, each recruit’s parent or guardian will be contacted within 24 hours by telephone to report the recruit’s safe arrival and provide an overview of the program.

Q  Is there any type of financial aid assistance for parents who want to commit their son but can’t financially afford to?

 

A  Financial aid is provided to qualified parents

Q  How can concerned citizens volunteer their time or donate charitable contributions to CPMJRA?

 

A  Concerned community members are encourage to contribute their time and charitable contributions by signing into the volunteer/donate contribution section of CPMJRA website or email us giving all pertinent (name, telephone number, address, contribution ect.) information at office@campmotivationvi.com a representative will contact you and further assist you through this process.
